The monthly GTA Online subscription just got a little more expensive, and Rockstar was hoping you wouldn’t notice.
In other recent news related to subscription payment increase, Rockstar Games has bumped their monthly cost of GTA+ subscription service for GTA Online.
The price hike, first spotted by players on Reddit and later confirmed by Rockstar Intel, takes the service from $5.99 to $7.99 per month on PlayStation and Xbox. Existing subscribers will see the change reflected in their billing on June 11th. And so far, Rockstar hasn’t issued an official statement.
This price increase follows a trend seen across various subscription services in the gaming industry. In recent months, companies like Xbox and PlayStation have adjusted the pricing of their respective membership programs. We’re seeing the same mistake made by streaming services like Netflix repeated here: to compensate for a slowdown in new subscriptions, they increase the price.
