Yet another post written in my thirties, doing things I wanted to do in my twenties
As a patient gamer, playing MMOs or MOBAs might not typically be my first choice. Single-player games are generally preferred, and I’ve mostly stuck to them.
However, I’ve always had a competitive mindset. Even though I never reached high ranks in games like CS or League, I enjoyed competing for a time before returning to immersive single-player experiences.
This time, I’ve returned to League with a different goal: to have fun. Or at the very least, to keep a positive vibe even when things go wrong. It’s not too difficult now. My gaming time is so limited that even finding a 30-minute window in a week can be rare, so I cherish those moments.
While I know I’m not Challenger-tier (more like Gold-tier), having played on and off for over 10 years, I might have some advice worth sharing with you.
It reminds me of that classic joke:
Wife: Honey, how much time have you spent playing CS?
Dude: 18 years… on and off.
Wife: And are you good at it?
Dude: ;_;
