NetEase subsidiary Skybox Labs lays off 25 people
Today we informed our studio that we made a reduction to our staff at SkyBox. In total, 25 people from our studio have been affected. Despite all our best efforts, we are not immune to the unprecedented challenges that have impacted so many companies in the industry.

Studio said that “despite best efforts, we are not immune to the challenges that have impacted the industry”. As previously reported, this really sounds like a copy paste.
Gamurs Group employees reportedly hit with 30 layoffs
Gamurs Group has laid off around 30 employees via email, as always citing industry shifts.
Affected employees were immediately cut off from company communications, including Slack and email. This follows previous layoffs in July and staff departures from The Escapist last November.
I’m am absolutely broken having to write this but today I got an email announcing that Gamurs Group had terminated my employment effective immediately from Destructoid, after just under 4 years as a staff writer. 2 weeks before my third child is due to be born.
